Most grocer bakeries have a stiff, dry maple glaze like royal icing; but theirs is more like a soft, textured buttercream-style maple frosting, that never cruches or flakes off when you bite it! Their dough is also more moist and fluffy (FRESH) than the typical dry, stale donuts we get elsewhere.
